After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital from the point where she was near death to the long road back to health. The way she lived her life was forever changed. Angelica underwent dialysis treatment for over a decade and half of that time before she was able to undergo her kidney transplant. It was her mother who would donate the kidney. The 13th of September, 2013, Angelica and her mom went through an operation to transplant their kidneys at two amazing hospitals located across the street from one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Health of Atlanta Egleston.
